Shadowright Universe

Reality encompasses all things. Everything physical and spiritual, hidden and revealed, things of all times and places, the everything and also the nothing. It is all contained in the Collective.

Within the Collective reside the physical and non-physical twins of reality. The physical world is known as the Glydzos, and the non-physical is called the Shadow. Places where these two realities intersect are called the InBetween.

While little is known of the InBetween and even less about the Shadow, much is known of the Glydzos.

The Four Worlds of Glydzos

The physical reality is known as the Glydzos, and within it are four distinct worlds. It isn't possible for most creatures to travel between the worlds, so they have developed completely seperate ecosystems and species.

  • Yenfleyt - Home of the Yenyi, this highly volcanic land is known for toxic air but fertile soil. The people are hard and fiercely independent, resourceful to a fault in a world where the little rain that falls is usually acid.
  • Tvufley - The Tvufley Waters is a place where the ocean rules everything. Islands are scattered across the seas, but beneath the surface everything is connected. This is the home of the Vet'Vus peoples, and their reliance upon each other and their environment has nurtured a thriving interconnection of all things. Woe to those who upset that balance.
  • Fleyteyt - The Fleyteyt world is entirely underground and there are no tunnels to the surface. It is the home of the Alai people and most believe that the idea of the "surface" is a myth, as are things like the sun, stars, sky, etc. They are a highly organized people who appreciate direct communication and order.
  • The Broken Chains The floating islands, or skylands, are generally known as the Broken Chains. They drift through a thick atmosphere that holds them above an endless gray haze. The frigid air and ever-present mists shroud secret mountain keeps, as networks of long swinging bridges and short-hop gliders connect the Gik'i settlements. The people of these lands celebrate being as free as the featherwind, but also have come to deeply respect the void of endless darkness.
